Sheena and Andreus are the perfect example of how love grows, evolves, and becomes even richer over time. What made you choose a destination wedding for your special day?
- We chose a Destination wedding because why not get your Wedding and Honeymoon all at one time!
What were your biggest fears or concerns when you first started planning your destination wedding?
- Our biggest fear was not having family and friends show up for our big day.
During your wedding experience, was there anything that surprised you – good, unexpected, or both?
- We were surprised at how easy the process was of getting there and planning our Wedding day. I was a seamless process. Natasha walked us through every step. We were also surprised at how Natasha kept in touch with us throughout our trip. She didn’t just leave us hanging once we arrived. We had gifts in our rooms from her and she told us to call her if any questions arises.
What is your absolute favorite memory from your destination wedding? If you had to pick one moment that still makes you smile, what would it be?
- Our FAVORITE moment was saying I DO, of course!!! But some other memorable moments were parasailing and swimming in bat caves in Negril, on our Honeymoon.
How many attendees did you have?
- 60
What kind of experience did you envision your guests having?
- I envisioned my guests having a vacation that they will remember for the rest of their lives.
What was one part of planning your wedding that you knew you couldn’t have done alone? How did having a Destination Wedding Specialist help with that?
- I don’t think we would’ve been able to plan the actual wedding day and all of the small details without a Wedding Planning Specialist. Even the details down to the Bouquet and cake Natasha and my Wedding Planner in Jamaica thought of every single thing. Coming up with unique ideas to celebrate since we didn’t have a formal reception. We would NOT have been able to do any of this without them.
Did you splurge on anything for travel or the wedding itself? If yes, what did you invest in—and was it worth it?
- We didn’t splurge however, Club Mobay, is optional but ABSOLUTELY NECESSARY!!! It was worth every penny!
Did you intentionally save on anything travel or wedding related? What did you decide to skip or simplify, and how did it work out?
We skipped on having a formal reception, but the resort had a Beach Party the same night of our reception and it ended up being the perfect informal reception. We had reserved seating, live music, and buffet traditional Jamaica style food. It was amazing!!!
If you could change ANYTHING about the planning process, the resort, your wedding day, or even the location. What would you change and why?
- If we could change anything, it would be the beach area of the Hilton Rose Hall. We think it was a bit small and we couldn’t fully enjoy it.
If you could choose three words to describe your wedding, what would they be?
- Peaceful, a Vibe, and HOT
First dance song: What was the song that made your first dance magical? Let us know the name of the song that accompanied your special moment.
Ring purchases: Where did you find your beautiful wedding rings? We’d like to know the place you purchased them from.
“Yes to the dress”: Where did you find your perfect wedding gown? Share the name of the bridal boutique or designer where you said, “Yes to the dress.”
What kind of feedback did you receive from your guests about the resort, the experience, or the wedding weekend?
- Two years later, we still hear about how our wedding was the time of their LIFE!! We’re going back in 2026 because we had SO MUCH FUN!!
Now that you’ve been through it all, what is the #1 piece of advice you would give to couples just starting to plan their destination wedding?
- The best thing I can say is communicate your wants and needs of your wedding day with your partner. Make sure both of you are happy because this day is for BOTH of you!!
In what ways did Serenity Sand & Seas Travel make this less stressful for you?
- Natasha thought of everything we needed. She also insisted that all guest questions be directed to her which took a weight off of our shoulders. She provided apps to help keep us on track with everything we needed in terms of suits, dresses, and decor and details about the wedding. It was a stress free process.
